We wish to share with you the latest updates on our Disaster Relief Work being carried out at Harshil and Dharali, Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, India, under the coordination of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Dehradun.Following the catastrophic cloudburst and subsequent flooding in Dharali village, our Ashrama has been actively engaged in both the immediate relief and follow-up phases of assistance.
Relief Activities Undertaken
Multi-Phases of Relief Work
- Detailed Assessment Visit: A survey team visited the affected areas to understand the extent of damage, needs of families, and formulate a proper relief strategy
- Medical Support : Immediate medical camps were conducted to treat injuries, prevent disease outbreaks, and provide essential medicines to those in need.
- Dry Relief Distribution: Families received basic necessities including food grains, pulses, oil, blankets, and other essential supplies to support their daily living.
- Rehabilitation: Longer-term support measures were initiated, such as repairing damaged homes, restoring livelihoods, and helping communities return to normalcy with dignity and stability.
