Dispensary – Serving with Compassion
The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Dehradun, runs a Dispensary as part of its ongoing commitment to serve the local community with love and compassion, following the ideal of “Shiva Jnane Jiva Seva” — serving all beings as God Himself.
During the reporting period, the dispensary provided medical treatment to 2,272 patients, offering care and comfort to individuals from diverse backgrounds, many of whom come from economically disadvantaged sections of society.
Homeopathy Services
A significant portion of patients opted for Homeopathy treatment, a gentle and holistic system of medicine. For such patients, the Ashrama provided free medicines, ensuring that financial constraints never become a barrier to receiving proper healthcare.
Holistic Approach to Healthcare
Beyond physical treatment, the dispensary environment fosters a sense of warmth, dignity, and compassion, reflecting the Ashrama’s belief that true healing addresses both body and mind. Patients are treated with respect and personal attention, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all.
Our Vision
The dispensary seeks to:
Provide affordable and accessible healthcare to the community
Promote preventive healthcare awareness through guidance and counselling
Extend service without discrimination of caste, creed, religion, or economic status
By integrating medical care with the Ashrama’s broader mission of spiritual and social service, the dispensary stands as a living example of selfless service in action.
